In the land of da Bulls and da Bears, there's DePaul. One of the largest private, not-for-profit universities in the US, DePaul has more than 23,000 students attending classes at seven Chicago-area campuses. Also one of the country's largest Catholic institutions of higher learning, the university offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs through about a dozen colleges and schools, including the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and the College of Communication, established in 2007. DePaul was founded in 1898 by the Vincentian religious community and is named after 17th century French priest St. Vincent de Paul.
